Trump saves Hong Kong from erazure
US President Donald Trump , said Friday, November 22, that, if not for him, Hong Kong “would have been erased in 14 minutes” by Chinese troops.
In an interview with Fox News, Trump said Chinese President Xi Jinping refrained from sending military forces to suppress protests in favor of democracy in the semi-autonomous territory just because he asked for it. “If it wasn’t for me, Hong Kong would have been erased in 14 minutes,” Trump said.
Xi “has a million soldiers outside of Hong Kong, who are not going just because I asked him: ‘Please don’t do it. You would be making a big mistake. It will have a tremendously negative impact on the trade agreement. ”
