Prison vaccinations follow chickenpox outbreak
Sunday, August 18 was vaccination day for 22 prisoners in Santiago de Veraguas following an outbreak of chickenpox in block 2.reports the Ministry of Health
Six detainees refused treatment. Previously, 45 detainees had been vaccinated in block 2, where chickenpox cases had also been reported. Vaccination will continue in the other blocks during the week
Ministry officials recommended that jail officers isolate those affected to prevent infection of other inmates and family visitors
