18 injured arrive at hospital with no water, power
Eighteen people, including three children, injured in a transit accident involving a panel bus and a pickup in Penonome on Sunday, July 21 arrived at a local hospital where the water and electricity were turned off.
The accident was on the road leading to the community of El Caño de San Miguel, in the Toabré district of Penonomé when the vehicles collided on a curve in the isolated community.
The injured passengers were taken to the hospital Aquilino Tejeira de Penonomé which was undergoing repairs and there was no electricity or water. Only the most severely injured could be attended to and the rest were moved to a health center.
