Court asked to lift immunity for rubber check deputy
The Supreme Court (CSJ) has asked the Electoral Tribunal (TE) to lift the criminal electoral immunity of PRD deputy Alfredo Fello Pérez.
Perez enjoys immunity electoral jurisdiction because he was is nominated by the Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRD) and the Nationalist Republican Liberal Movement (Molirena) to run for deputy on the circuit 8-4 (Balboa, Chepo, Chimán, Taboga).
The application entered the TE on April 1 and the magistrate of the case is Heriberto Araúz.
In November last year, the Court admitted a complaint against Pérez, related to the alleged issuance of checks without funds.
One was for $26,000 and another for $2,000, to a company he hired to build a children’s park in Chepo.
