Fake Panama doctor dodges jail time
A FAKE doctor who practiced medicine and talked his way into a cozy well-paying administrative post with Panama’s Ministry of Health will not do jail time post
Grimaldo Córdoba, who was sentenced to 3 and a half years in prison for practicing as a false doctor, got a penalty replacement deal and will pay a fine of $ 6,000 to avoid going to jail.
Córdoba practiced as a doctor and director of Health Promotion of the Ministry of Health, until January 23, 2015, when he resigned from office after it was reported that he did not have qualifications to work as a doctor. In December 2015 He was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months in prison; and the penalty was confirmed by the Second Court on April 13 of this year.
