Roux named CD presidential candidate

Rómulo Roux won the Cambio Democrático party (CD)  presidential primaries on Sunday, Aug, 12  over the Martinelli favored  Raul  Mulino. Roux had 67% of the votes,  Mulino 30%.

The waning enthusiasm for the deeply divided and scandal-ridden party that ex-president Ricardo Martinelli founded to further his political ambitions was underscored by the poor turn- out with some 78%  of party members failing to participate.
