OPINION: Justice closer to being served
The curtain was finally raised. and fiscal magistrate Harry Díaz had the opportunity to read his accusation in detail, facts, witnesses, documents, reports, and data, in the wiretapping case which has been substantiated for almost three years, with the extradition and the current process of citizen Ricardo Martinelli. Now all the pieces of the puzzle are integrated. This has not been the forum for costumes or judicial pyrotechnics, because the Magistrate Judge of Guarantees, Jerónimo Mejía, has been equanimous, educational and extremely patient with everything that happened inside and outside the courtroom. Mejía knows that his role is finished and that history will remember him for what is possibly the most relevant case of his career. His full colleagues should weigh evidence, allegations, and disclaimers.

The Supreme Court has no justification or basis to divest itself of the competence of this case. Their duty is to continue it until the end. Panamanians deserve the truth and hope that Justice is possible …LA PRENSA, Jul 10
