Quake damaged hospital closed, patients moved
Patients and staff in the Anita Moreno Hospital in Azuero were transferred to new facilities on Friday, June 15, following a tour by Health Minister Miguel Mayo, and Director of the Social Security Fund (CSS), Alfredo Martiz.
The tour came after a 5.5 magnitude earthquake on Wednesday when National Civil Protection staff (Sinaproc) arrived to check the damaged building
Minister Mayo said that the old Anita Moreno Hospital built in 1973 is being closed,
And as an emergency measure, He also asked the population to get used to a series of measures that will be taking place as they adapt to the new facilities at Hospital Gustavo Nelson Collado.
