Copa starting direct flights to Puerto Vallarta
Starting in mid-December, Copa Airlines will start direct flights to Puerto Vallarta & Riviera Nayarit its fifth Mexican destination.
The Airline will connect the Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport with the rest of the continent, through the Hub of the Americas located in Panama City, says the airline.
“Copa Airlines continues to demonstrate its confidence in Mexico and to support its tourism and commercial development by inaugurating this direct link, “said CEO Pedro Heilbron.
The connection will start with two weekly flights on Thursday and Sunday, departing from Panama City at 09:48 a.m. and arriving at Licenciado Gustavo Díaz Ordaz International Airport at 1:40 p.m. (local time). The return flight will leave the same days from Puerto Vallarta at 2:43 p.m., arriving in Panama City at 8:07 p.m. (local time). The route will be operated with a Boeing 737-700 with capacity for 12 passengers in Executive class and 112 in the main cabin.
” With this new flight multiple connections will be avoided, reducing times, distances and costs for Latin American tourists, while ensuring greater interest of the South American wholesale agencies in the destination, “said Marc Murphy, general director of the Tourism Authority of Riviera Nayarit.
Puerto Vallarta is located in a region surrounded by the mountains of the Sierra Madre Occidental of the State of Jalisco and the Mexican Pacific, decorated by the characteristic red roofs of its buildings and its golden sunsets. The city has more than 10,000 hotel rooms and 40 km of beaches, which make it an excellent paradise for diving and fishing. It is located on the Pacific coast, west of the State of Jalisco, just over 300 kilometers from the city of Guadalajara and bounded on the north by the state of Nayarit.
The Riviera Nayarit coast extends through the municipalities of Bahía de Banderas, Compostela, San Blas, Santiago and Tecuala.
