CORRUPTION CUP: Assembly 2 Citizens 0

As if it were an aggressive defense protecting the goal of its team, again the plenary session of the Supreme Court of Justice has given a boost to the deputies of the National Assembly.

Actually, the Court has scored a goal and intends a second. First, it admitted the protection of constitutional guarantees that Yanibel Ábrego the president of the Assembly interposed,  to avoid being audited over its ominous 080 form. In a macaronic failure, the Court admitted that protection and left the Comptroller General of the Republic in the air, without clarifying If he can proceed with the audit. The other goal that the Court intends to impose is to reject the criminal complaint by the comptroller general against the Assembly president, for denying entry to officials of the Comptroller’s Office. Here, the Court intends to use a formalism to avoid a case against the deputy Ábrego.
