18 Venezuelan women migrants murdered in one year
Rosamar López, a migrant working in Panama, who was found murdered along with a companion in Las Uvas de San Carlos, on Wednesday, April 28 was the 18th Venezuelan woman to be murdered in Panama since February last year.
She was a waitress in a bar/restaurant and had been living with a sister since 2016.
Rosamar’s body was found near a vehicle while her partner’s was inside the car with several bullet wounds reports El Siglo. The Public Ministry is seeking to identify a motive for the double homicide.
