March, magic month month for all tastes

Carnival is behind us, the kids are back to school and with the rainy season at least a couple of months away March in Panama is an event packed month.
Whether you are in to surfing, horse racing, Canadian food or British celebrations , theater or opera, there’s something available for you.
Here are some of the offerings, and each one contains a link to provide you with more details:
BRITISH WEEK (Mar 12-18) from a traditional street party to a chance to gawp at Ascot style titfers (hats) while sipping champers and watching the sport of kings.
SURFING CHAMPIONS If you’re a surfing fan or a camera buff, Pedasi is the place to be Mar,16-19 with the return of the Latin American Surf Tour. You’ll thrill to the action as 64 professional including men and women world champions compete for honors and cash.
SUESSICAL THE MUSICAL (Mar.17) A one night only benefit performance that will take you down memory lane, provide a fin night out for the family of all ages, and help raise funds for an education program for would be thespians.
MONTREAL CELEBRATION (Mar 21). Your chance to sample Montreal style food and celebrate with music and song the city’s 375th birthday in the company of genuine Canadians and friends on the patio at Solomons in the Paitilla Mall. It’s organized by the CanadaPLUS Foundation and you’ll have the opportunity to get updated on upcoming events. There are still a few tickets available but you will need to order by Wednesday Mar. 15
VERDI’S MACBETH, A unique performance presented by Opera Panama in a unique setting with “scenery” the like of which not even the witches of Endor could conjure up in the 400 year old ruins of the convent in Panama Viejo.
