282 girls under 14 with babies by live-in partner
DURING 2015, some 282 girls under the age of 14 living with a partner in Panama had a baby
A report from the Office of the Comptroller General Republic entitled “Live births in the Republic by Marital status” reveals that in 2015. a total of 603 girls under 14 had a child. Of these, 321 were single and 282 lived with a partner.
Among girls living in “concubinage,” the Comptroller General listed six girls between 11 and 12 years.
