Bank killing suspect on loose continues crime spree

 A SUSPECT involved in several crimes including a bank robbery in which an employee  was gunned down, is finally behind bars after  indulging  in  crime spree while under house arrest with orders to report twice a week.

Ariel Quiel Araúz, alias “Arielito”, when arrested had in his possession the firearm of the security guard at the Chanis branch of  Banco General  where a 62-year-old woman teller was shot and killed.

Three days ago, before his arrest on  Friday  Feb. 24,  he  was granted immediate release with aperiodic report measure to  the Public Ministry.

He was arrested again for being linked to an armed robbery at an establishment selling car accessories.

The Public Ministry, has  confirmed to TVN  that during a hearing on Saturday , a precautionary measure of provisional detention was ordered.

The Bank incident for which he was originally  arrested happened on February 4, when with three others he entered and robbed the bank. The robbery and killing of the bank employee  which was fully recorded  on surveillance cameras.
