Fourth bridge project bid talks begin
MEETINGS are under way between the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) and the companies that have been prequalified to bid on the design and construction of the fourth bridge over the Panama Canal.
The meetings to answer questions about the projects will last through Thursday.
The companies involved are : DragadosSucursal Panamá, S.A; Consorcios CCB; Consorcio HyundaiSacyr JV; Consorcio AstaldiDaelim, Consorcio Panamá Cuarto Puente, and Consorcio Cuarto Puente CscecCREGGLF.
The specifications for the billion dollar structure stipulate that the bridge has six lanes for traffic, two sidewalks and two lanes for tracks of the Panama Metro. It will be 51 meters wide.
