Six bidders for $2,6 billion Metro 3

THE PRE­ –QUALIFING process for the construction of Metro line 3  is under way.

The line will stretch  from Albrook to La Chorrera. Companies interested in the project can tour the site of the work in December 6.

Bids will be due Feb. 15 and they include the scandal plagued Brazilian construction giant Odebrecht, which has ggarnered over $9 billion in contracts from Panama.

Construction will start at either the end of 2017 or early 2018.

Line 3 will be 26.75 kilometers long and and will have 14 stations.

It will cost $2.6 billion and will be financed by the Government  of  Japan
