Another corruption scandal linked to Martinelli

The former president of the Board of Directors of state owned bank Caja de Ahorros (CA), Riccardo Francolini, and ex-Panama President of Ricardo Martinelli have been singled out by prosecutors as two of the main targets in the investigation into irregularities in a loan granted by the bank.
The $9 million loan, which amounted to $9 million, was granted to the consortium HPC-Contratos-P&V for the construction of the Amador convention center. But the money ended up in the accounts of shell companies with no link to the project.
The accounts, however, were linked to close associates of Martinelli reports La Prensa.
