Freak winds damage cars across city
SUDDEN STRONG winds accompanied by rain on Sunday June 19 brought down trees and lifted roofs off homes in and around Panama City.
In Tocumen the roof of a gas station was torn off, but staff and customers escaped uninjured
Falling trees damaged cars in Bayano, Santa Marta, Las Garzas de Pacora, Corredor Sur, Costa del Este, San Miguelito, Punta Pacifica, San Francisco, Tocumen, San Antonio, Mayor Diaz, Ancon, Diablo and Chilibre.
José Donderis, director general of the National Civil Protection Service (SINAPROC) said no injuries were reported by trees falling on homes, cars and streets.
