Nature Air plans Nicaragua-Panama flights
NOT ONLY big players, with big planes in the air travel business have their sights on Panama. Nature Air has joined the rush to become part of the flock entering the Hub of the Americas.
While Lufthansa is about to launch new direct flights to Europe and Turkish Airlines has announced they will be flying in and out of Tocumen International from May 4, Nature Air is finalizing details of moving into a niche market, targeting business travelers from Nicaragua.
The company plans to begin operating flights from Juan Santamaria airport to Albrook in Panama.
Nelson Vega, the company’s commercial director says , they have permission to make the flights and will be in competition with carriers like Avianca and Copa.
The company has invested more than $2 million in the purchase of LET turbo prop planes from South Africa. “We’re not focused on having large planes, but small planes” said Vega.
