3 dead, 6 injured in triple crash

 THREE PEOPLE  were killed and six seriously injured in  a crash involving a pirate bus and two other vehicles on Saturday afternoon, February 27.

The  traffic accident occurred on the road to Veracruz in Panama West, According to preliminary reports, the accident happened when a pickup truck collided with a delivery truck and then the “pirate” busito heading towards the center of  the small town of Veracruz.

Units of the Panama  Fire Department of Panama, the National Police and the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc  worked  rescue work to people who were trapped in the twisted metal of vehicles.

The accident caused a major traffic jam in  the area, a favorite spot for people accessing local beaches.
