National Police, Chief  Omar Pinzon told TVN News that 1,400  speeding  tickets were issued speeding and 400 for impaired driving by Tuesday evening,

Pinzon said the slogan was zero tolerance to guarantee the life and safety of people, “because  I gain nothing having 18,000 cops on the street, if people do not take care of their lives and are not responsible “.

Speeding, fatigue  alcohol intake and cell phone use are primarily responsible for the increase in traffic accidents and loss of lives.
