Man dies trying to save son as 90 km winds raise waves
A POLICE OFFICER DIED in an unsuccessful bid to rescue his son in Los Santos on Sunday, February 7, as winds gusting to to 90 kilometers an hour whipped up waves along Panama beaches.
National Police (PN) Lieutenant, Manuel Rodriguez was trying to rescue his son Daniel 19, on the playa de Búcaro, in the Tonosí, district.
A search for the body of the sone was continuing on Monday.
The wind tore roofs from homes in Penonomé and Chiriqui.
