Solar installation aids bottom line and environment
CONCERNS about water shortages and the falling ability of Panama’s hydroelectric plants to deliver the energy needed, businesses are looking to alternative sources to aid the bottom line and the environment.
Arce Avicola (Poultry) has installed 2,055 solar panels distributed among four of its farms , which is considered a major environmental contribution resulting in a CO2 reduction of 496 tons in the first year. The project will produce clean energy represented a monthly savings of about $10,000.00.
Panasonic made the “turnkey” operation which means it supplied equipment and products, inspection and complete project design, installation of the entire system and all procedures required permits to make the project a reality and provide long term support and operation of the system.
