Casualty free weekend on Panama beaches

OVER 15000 people hit Panama beaches  and rivers on the first back-to-school weekend Jan. 9-10  without casualties, reports the National Civil Protrction  Authority (Sinaproc) director José Donderis.

He said  that a total of 15,276  were on the beaches and rivers, in different regions of the country on Saturday and Sunday.

Additional speed checks channeling of turning vehicles  were in place for the journey back to Panama city and will operate each weekend until March 31..
