Concert crowd fight at Figali Center
A NUMBER of people suffered minor injuries when an early morning fight broke out in the VIP section at a concert at the Figali Convention Center.
The Dominican singer Romeo Santos singer began his performance at 10:45 p.m. before a crowd of 16,000. The fight broke out at about 12:20 a.m.
Witnesses said the situation escalated and spilled over into other areas. At some point a chair snapped in half, which some people thought was a gunshot reports La Prensa.
Police said no shots were fired.
The singer continued his performance, which concluded at 1 a.m.
Spokespeople for Magic Dreams, the organizer of the show, said that the fight was apparently caused by people trying to get into the VIP section.
