First aid proposed as graduation must

A draft law has been proposed that would require Panama  students to take a basic first aid course as a graduation requirement.

The bill was proposed by PRD Deputy Iracema de Dale and  has submitted to the Committee on Education, Culture and Sports.

“The youth will then become a multiplier agent of the information taught in the course, for the benefit of the community,” said the deputy.

The proposed training would be carried out by staff from the ministries of Education and Health, as well as firefighters and the Red Cross.
