Wind rain, electrical storms alert
PANAMA’S National Civil Protection System issued a new wet and stormy weather alert on Thursday, September 24, predicting strong winds, rain, and electrical activity in the provinces of Colon, Veraguas, Cocle, Darien and Panama.
A downpour, which began about 1:00 pm on Thursday, caused renewed street flooding in Coronado, Juan Diaz, Arraijan and Las Cumbres
The Department of Hydrometeorology of the National Electricity Transmission Company, warned that bad weather conditions can lead to overflowing rivers, their tributaries and streams and strong wind gusts could bring down branches and trees and lift roofs.
