Edward gets second 200 meter win in Diamond League
PANAMANIAN sprinter Alonso Edward picked up his second 200 meters win of the season in the prestigious Diamond League Athletics circuit with a time of 20.04 secs in Stockholm, Sweden on Thursday July 30.
Edward dominated the South African Anaso Jobodwana (20.18) and Turkish Ramil Guliyev (20.27) in he final meters.
He won a bronze medal at the Pan American Games in Toronto earlier in the month with a time of 19.90 seconds.
Edward lies second in the 200 meters overall rating of the season in the Diamond League, with eight points. Jobodwana is leading with nine points.
After this performance Edward will focus on his participation in the World Championships, in August in China.
