Boutique owning backpack supplier held in cells
POULETT MORALES, the globe trotting Marbella fashion boutique owner , whose bank balance swelled to the point where she built her own mall, when she became the supplier of school backpacks to the National Assistance Program, ended up behind bars.on Wednesday, June 3.
Morales, whose US Visa was recently withdrawn is the latest of a growing band of suspects facing interrogation by anti-corruption prosecutors who arrive unprepared for an exit in handcuffs as they head for the cells of the Directorate of Judicial Investigation (DIJ), in Ancon.
The preventative detention order was issued o3 by Second Anti-corruption Prosecutor Vielka Broce, after a day of questioning over alleged irregularities in the purchase of 600 000 school bags with funds from PAN during the government of Ricardo Martinelli (2009-2014).
The information was confirmed by Victor Almengor, attorney for Morales immediately filed a motion for reconsideration for an injunction less severe. The prosecutor maintained her decision, reports La Prensa.
