A sweet finale: Dying for Chocolate
By Margot Thomas
REHEARSALS for “Dying for Chocolate” the fourth in the Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre series presented by the CanadaPLUS Club are in full swing, and ticket sales are already underway.
Those who have attended any of the three earlier performances know to book early to ensure their stage-side seats.
Performances will take place Monday through Wednesday, June 21-23, at the Miramar Intercontinental Hotel, starting at 7 pm.
The play, directed by Allan Wilson, will have a mixture of bitter-sweet moments and not a few laughs, with the audience participating in the unraveling whodunit and, courtesy of Felipe Motta. unwrapping some of the chocolates that are at the center of the plot.
The audience will re-engage with some of the outstanding actors who have entertained them in the last three years. The play will be a temporary curtain call for Wilson, a talented Panamanian TV actor, before he heads to Toronto to study film.
The evening of entertainment and fine dining is $30 for members, $35 for nonmembers, which sounds like a bargain to me.
There are only 50 seats at each performance, and based on the previous success record of the Club, they will be taken up early, so don’t wait until the last minute. Reservations close on June 16.
To order, Call 6619-6890, or email, clubcanadaplus@gmail.com. Your tickets will be delivered to your home or office.
Proceeds from the event will go to the staging of the annual Carols By Candlelight Charity concert.
