Martinelli flouts Aeronautics hearing

FORMER President Ricardo Martinelli did not attend a hearing today of the Civil Aeronautics Authority (CAA) on Monday, August 17 for his actions at the Marcos A. Gelabert Airport in Albrook on Oct. 25 that disrupted service at the facility.

He was represented by attorney Alejandro Pérez, who said that Martinelli was not required to attend because it was not a criminal process.
After the proceedings, which lasted approximately two hours, Pérez said that Martinelli will appeal any sanction handed down against him reports La Prensa
The hearing was chaired by CAA Counsel Rolando Herrera. However, it was reported that any sanctions will be signed by CAA Administrator Alfredo Fonseca Mora, who is traveling.
Martinelli entered the flight platform on Oct. 25 to demand information about a helicopter that was spotted flying close to his house.
