Two dead, four injured in Chiriqui flash floods.

TWO CHILDREN died in flash floods in Chiriquí on Sunday August 17 After heavy rains swept across the province.
The deaths took place in Cerro Punta. Four people were injured and the area has been cut off due to floodwaters, said officials with the civil defense agency Sinaproc.

 Two houses were affected by the flooding of the Chiriqui River, Viejo while three others are at risk of collapse. A bridge collapsed and the road between Cerro Punta and Volcán was heavily damaged.
According to a preliminary report from Sinaproc, fallen trees, landslides and downed utility poles have cut off access to Cerro Punta reports La Prensa
Inhabitants of Cerro Punta reported that the two people who died were children who were in a house that collapsed. The four people who were injured were passengers in a bus that was caught in floodwaters.
