Killer, 29, gets 40 years jail sentence

A 29-YEAR-OLD taxi driver, Aristides Adan Lorenzo González, was sentenced to 40 years in jail on Thursday, June 27  today for the Nov. 23, 2012, murder of Paul Arango Reed.

The sentence was handed down in courtroom number 4 in Coclé by judges Daniel Vargas, Florelia Bonilla and María Ábrego.

He was sentenced to 25 years for murder and 15 years for aggravated robbery. Prosecutors had sought a 48-year sentence.

Prosecutor Ángel Gómez said that two minors accused in the case will now be tried.
