Opposition to extraordinary Assembly bills
THE LAST BITES of the apple by the Martinelli administration during the upcoming extraordinary sessions of the National Assembly will be opposed by the Democratic) Revolutionary Party (PRD).
The party announced Tuesday, May 20, that it has instructed its deputies not to support the approval of the 22 bills that will be discussed at the sessions, starting Wednesday,
" The NEC [ National Executive Committee ] gave instructions to the PRD bloc of deputies to vote against these draft laws, to be presented to the full Assembly ," said a statement from Juan Carlos Navarro, Secretary General .
The note said that the 22 projects submitted by the Executive in full Assembly should be “filed and discussed during the regular session of the new Assembly ," beginning on 1 July.
The Executive has convened the Assembly to debate 22 bills and seven ratifications , including that of the directors of the company Global Cold Chain SA .
