Their own child was with the Rodríguez López family , in San Miguelito , who took a voluntary DNA test in the same laboratory after stories about the baby switch appeared in the media.
The results were confirmed on Saturday by geneticists of the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences of the Public Ministry).
However, Edwan Frias said in an interview with TVN -2 that he never lost faith in God and he was happy for what happened.
Córdoba’s family asked Rodríguez López not to worry, as although there is an exchange of children, the families will remain in contact with each other.
Giovanni Ortega, family lawyer for the Lopez family asked for privacy for both families affected by the error in the hospital where the children were born.
Silvio Guerra, Córdoba Frías lawyer , said both parties will arrange for family visits to the two families , so that esch will have access to the child they brought up as their own. Guerra did not rule out filing claims for damage to the families, after changing babies at birth.
He said it is necessary that both families are subjected to psychological treatment for what is happening, especially Haymara, who is pregnant.
Attorney General Ana Belfon said the case will be in the hands of a family court judge and said that both families will be assisted by psychologists.
She said a criminal investigation will continue into the action taken in the delivery room of the Santo Tomas hospital.
