A murder mystery dinner theatre with the diners part of the act
By Susan Thomas
Rehearsals for the next Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre organized by the CanadaPLUS Club, are in full swing under the direction of Theatre Guild of Ancon stalwart Carmen O’Neill.
Because of the intervention of “Carnaval” during the rehearsal period, the date of the three night presentation has been moved to Monday through Wednesday April 6-7-8. At the Miramar Intercontinental Hotel.
The three act play “Fond Farewell” is set at the reading of the will of a famed Hollywood writer, so each member of the audience “invited” to the reading is, in fact, part of the performance as the actors interact with those of you who are there to discover what you are going to get from the will of the deceased. The action starts at the signing of the book of condolences before you enter the dining room and continues until your own Fond Farewell to a fun night out.
Although it’s an anticipated $100 million bequest don’t expect to go home with a purse stuffed with dollars, but you will have lasting memories of a riotous performance and a startling denouement that, even though you get to participate in naming the killer, will likely surprise you.
Along with the entertainment comes a Miramar Hotel quality buffet dinner with a glass of wine to stimulate your deductive senses, If that doesn't do the trick there will be a cash bar during intermissions
Tickets at $40 for members, $50 nonmembers are now on sale and will be delivered to your home or office.
If you plan to come as a group, tables can be set up to seat 10 or 12.
Don’t hold back until the last minute as the two previous performances were oversold and this one is unlikely to be the exception as some reservations were made before the play was chosen, or the date confirmed.
