Martinelli cousin linked to secret $2.3 million contract
FRANKIE FRANCISCO MARTINELLI a lawyer cousin of President Ricardo Martinelli is reported to be behind a company that signed a "secret" $ 2.3 million contract to provide advice and "secretarial" services to a subcontractor of the Panama Metro.
The company, Sarda Management, SA, reports La Prensa is registered in the British Virgin Islands, to a special agent Rodny Núñez Soto who signed the contract and was until a few months ago, personal driver for Frankie Martinelli.

The "secret" contract was signed in 2011 with the company Sofratesa of Panama, Inc., responsible for the engineering and installation of electromechanical and electronic systems of the Metro.
The treasurer of that company is the Dominican Jaime Bonetti Zeller, "personal friend" of President Martinelli, says La Prensa.
The revelations came while a five day international conference on corruption, is under way in Panama. The opening address came from President Martinelli who described corruption as the “common enemy” of all states.
