30 injured in Chepo Bus crash

A BUS that veered of the highway in Los Llanos de Chepo, injured over 30 passengers, mostly children and their mothers, and deprived three districts of power on the evening of Sunday, November 10.
The group was traveling from Chepo Cañita after participating in the celebrations November 10 celebrations when, according to witnesses the bus veered off the road and hit a utility pole. The pole was sliced in half leaving Las Margaritas , El Llano and Cañita without electric power supply.
The emergency room regional hospital in Chepo was overwhelmed with patients and their families. Around 150 people gathered outside the hospital to get news of family member who had left ad left for the Cañita parades and had not returned home , reports La Prensa.
The incident occurred at about 7:20 pm on the Pan American Highway near the Avocado bridge.
