CanadaPLUS Club: new insurance benefits, multiple activities

THE EVER growing number of members of the CanadaPLUS Club will soon be eligible for a new discounted health insurance plan along with  low rate home, car and life insurance.

The Club which has over 500 members and associates will be announcing details before the Canadian Thanksgiving Dinner at the MIrimar Intercontinetal Hotel on October 12.

A dedicated email address will enable participants to access insurance and legal advisers and a new service aimed at easing the chore of paying local taxes

Members who are part of the previous group health insurance plan will have the opportunity to compare costs and benefits.
The Club is also expanding its list of suppliers who provide special benefits to members.
After the Canadian Thanksgiving Dinner, comes the annual Welcome Back Snowbirds celebration in November, Carols by Candlelight/Luces de Navidad, raising funds for Hogar Malambo and Santo Tomas Hospital, December 7, Twelfth Night Revel, January 6 and three nights of Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre, at the Mirimar Intercontinental in March and a Canal expansion tour in April.
As a footnote I should mention that the original quota of tables for Thanksgiving has already been surpassed, and some more have been added, but if you want to snag a seat you will have to move quickly as the closing date of September 27 is likely to be brought forward.
The cost for a gourmet dinner, open bar, entertainment, dancing and two chances to win a return trip to Toronto by Copa Airlines is $65 members, $75 non members. You can email or call 6619-6890, and your tickets will be delivered to your home or office in Panama City.
It’s a group that never stops moving.
The Club is currently looking for volunteers to assist in the planning and staging of the Carols event on the Cinta Costera.
