Government deputy attacks Education Minister

GOVERNMENT deputy Ruben Frias hit out Thursday. August 22, at the handling of the teachers’dispute by Minister of Education, Lucy Molinar.

He criticized her failure to sit down and sign an agreement to terminate the strike instead of constantly attacking the teachers and their motives

"I accept that the government has invested, which is government policy, but there are things in education to which, as a teacher I'm never going to agree," he said.
According to Frias, Democratic Change (CD), there is a persecution against the teachers' union and he asked why the ministry is keeping up the attack.
"Enough of chasing and ans intimidating because putting gunpowder under such a large system is dangerous very dangerous," he said.
He added that he believes that unemployment is only 3% of teachers are unemployed , and that teachers have a mission and a vision.
He also indicated that there was no willingness to sign the agreement to end strike. "Educators are right … I agree
