ELECTION LOG Presidential show time

SIX DAYS after having lunch with former President Mireya Moscoso in La Casa del Marisco, the president, Ricardo Martinelli, reappeared at the same venue and same time with PRD stalwart Anel Bolo Flores.

Analysts say the president is campaigning to keep his party in power in 2014, and is using the old strategy of showing that there is division in the opposition groups.

Moscoso is a member of the Panamenista party led by Vice-president, and presidential candidate Juan Carlos Varela who has not invited her to lunch. She is not sitting by the phone waiting for the call as their political relationship is cool.
