Coach names players for World Cup qualifiers
Panama National Team Coach Julio Dely Valdés has named his final list of players for the team's crucial World Cup qualifiers in June.
The list includes the expected return of goalkeeper Jaime Penedo, who was not available in the two previous matches due to a hand injury.
Goalkeepers: Jaime Penedo (Municipal, Gua.), Luis Mejía (Fénix, Uru.), Kevin Melgar (Alianza FC) y Alex Rodríguez (Sporting SM).
Defense: Luis Henríquez (Lech Poznan, Pol.), Felipe Baloy (Santos, Mex.), Román Torres (Millonarios, Col.), Jean Carlos Cedeño (Alianza FC), Carlos Rodríguez (Chepo FC), Harold Cummings (Árabe Unido), Leonel Parris (Tauro FC), Roberto Chen (San Francisco FC) y Roderick Miller (San Francisco FC).
Midfield: Nelson Barahona (Itagüí Col.), Amílcar Henríquez (Dep. Independiente Medellín, Col.), Gabriel Gómez (Dep. Panama leads the hexagonal round with five points. They face Mexico in Rommel Fernández Stadium in Panama City on June 7 and then will travel to the United States and Costa Rica on June 11 and June 18, respectively
