Opposition trembles at name of Martinelli government spokesman

PANAMA’S opposition trembles at the name of Martinelli  but he will not be aiming for re-election said government  spokesman Luis Eduardo Camacho, on Sunday, April 21.

“They know that what  his management has done is listed as positive by Panamanians.

The figure of President Ricardo Martinelli will be present throughout the electoral scene, but he will not be the candidate," said Camacho.

Members of Democratic Change (CD) know that "They [the political opposition] understand  perfectly that the main strength of the government candidates lies in the positive evaluation of programs and works developed by the Martinelli administration."

In recent days the opposition has stated that through the amendments to the Electoral Code, the CD seeks to achieve a majority and the reelection of the  President with a view in the 2014 elections.

However, the president has said that he is not seeking reelection, and has even scolded CD members for insisting on that topic says La Prensa.
