Presidential stadium box to get $76,000 make over

A contract for over $76,000 has been issued by the government’s sports body, to remodel the presidential box at the Rommel Fernández Stadium.

The no-bid contract for $76184, for less than two weeks work,went to Alde, S.A.
"Panama is proud of having one of the most modern stadiums in Central America, and the box must be in keeping with the investiture of the holder and his respective guests," said the technical report of the project prepared by Pandeportes Director Javier Tejeira.
The company, according to the contract, must perform the work over a period of 13 days, from March 12 to March 25. That period has already expired, which presents possible legal problems.
