40 years of human rights violations says report
Panamanians have suffered multiple human rights violations under different administrations for the last 40 years says a newly released report.
Threats, police abuse, restrictions, lack of access to public information campaigns hostile actions and hatreds, are among violations incurred in the Panamanian military during against civil and human rights defenders in the country , says report on the by the Citizens Alliance for Justice.
The document, released Monday, December 10, noted that over the past 40 years (1972-2012) the various administrations that have been leading the government made little effort to support the actions of human rights defenders.
Citizens Alliance for Justice made a public recognition of 20 Panamanians dedicated to defending human rights in the country.
