Convicted brothers still free after arrest order

Two brothers condemned to nearly six years in jail are still free despite a court decision ordering their immediate arrest.

Neither the Judicial Investigation Department of the National Police or the National Immigration Service have been informed of the decision of the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court, for the "immediate arrest" of Aquilino and Carlos de la Guardia Romero, sentenced to 66 months in prison for fraud and misrepresentation in a bankruptcy case.
Their conviction was signed by Justices Harry Diaz (rapporteur) and Alejandro Moncada Luna. Judge Aníbal Salas withheld his vote.
The court documend stated that the brothers acted "recklessly and willfully, and skillfully took advantage of the advantage offered by the confidence  of their creditors."
