A spectacular dance event and the price is right

I may have mentioned in previous articles that my favorite four letter word is “Free,” which is why events supported or organized by the U.S. Embassy cultural department always get a warm welcome in my household.

Recently they  have provided some outstanding classic  movie presentations in the Canal Museum Theater with not only free showings but free cookies and drinks and an opportunity to mingle with other film buffs before the event.

Now, coming up this weekend there is what promises to be  a spectacular dance performance at  The Teatro National, in Casco Viejo, and if you haven’t been there before you are in for a double treat when you see the beautiful period opera house from the inside and “Beyond Moving Borders.”featuring Movement Exchange and  Fundacion DanzaNova Panama. supported by the U.S. Embassy.

It’s the culmination of a dance exchange between U.S. and Panamanian dance artists and the children of Malambo, Fundacion San Felipe and Hogar de la Infancia.

It’s all happening  on Sunday July 22 at 6.30 pm, and it is FREE, but donations will be welcomed. Mark it on your calendar.
