Government unpaid $4 million halts bus routes

A group of bus owners in the area east of Panama stopped service on Monday, May 21 because the government has not paid  $4 million owed to diesel  tax reduced refueling stations.

 Cesar Mathews, spokesman for the carriers said that the Government undertook to make a move to cancel the base diesel fuel stations. But this has not been effective, he said. 

Because the government owes $4 million, theTwo route that ceased to providing the service were December 24-Transístmica and December 24, Tumba Muerto.  Agents of the National Police were in place to try to mediate.
