CD party meeting to discuss multiple issues
Members of the ruling Democratic Change party met on Monday afternoon afternoon at a Panama hotel to discuss a pandora’s box of issues making headlines
The meeting was address topics such as the case Lavítola, electoral reforms and the case of a Panameñista representative who was allegedly In the Lavitola case Minister of Labor and Workforce Development, Alma Cortés said that Italy has not asked for legal assistance or made any demands by the Government to indicate that there is any question against Panamanian officials or against the President, Ricardo Martinelli who is allegedly linked to an alleged bribe to approve a contract to an Italian company to build modular prisons in the country.
The meeting was well attended, and include themayor of Panama, Roxana Mendez, Minister of Health, Franklin Vergara, Social Development Minister, Guillermo Ferrufino, the former director of the National Immigration Service, María Cristina González, Deputy Sergio Galvez, President the ruling Molirena, Sergio Gonzalez Ruiz and other members of CD.
It was anticipated thatat the end of the meeting, members of the group would make an official statement on the issues.
