Via Brazil corridor price tag up to $397.6 million

Costs for the new Via Brazil   corridor have jumped $12.1 million since the contract was signed in 2011.The project being built by the Spanish company FCC Construction will now cost $397.6 million.

As with other major road realignment contracts, the Government has introduced an addendum to modify the payment schedule.

The work involves  the intersections of the avenues, Ricardo J. Alfaro and Simon Bolivar,  and Brazil, Stage I) of the corridor and at the intersections of Calle 50  and Via Brazil and via Israel and Brazil, (stage II).

Work on the four points has already begun, The finished road will create a fast link from the Corridor Nor to the Corridor Sur.
